Experience extraordinary landscapes and incredible biodiversity on a new 15-day Madagascar Wildlife & Rainforest Expedition from Adventure Life. Visit the hillside capital of Antananarivo, Morondava and its famous baobab trees, the white-sand beaches of Sainte Marie, the port city of Tamatave, and national parks and reserves filled with unique natural wonders and endemic wildlife while staying in upmarket hotels, beachside resorts and forest lodges. The 15-day tour, one of several new tours in Madagascar from Adventure Life, is available per person based on double occupancy.
“Because of its geographic isolation off the east coast of Africa, Madagascar is a true tropical paradise and the ideal destination for nature lovers,” said Kassandra Magruder, an Adventure Life Trip Planner. “The country is home to around 25,000 species of wildlife – 80 to 90 percent found nowhere else – including more than 100 lemur species, mongooses, chameleons, crocodiles and an abundance of birds, as well as giant baobabs, rare orchids and more. It also has a vibrant and diverse culture. Formerly a French colony, it has been influenced by African, Asian, Arab, and Islamic civilizations over the years. Join us on this new tour to experience it all firsthand.”
The Madagascar Wildlife & Rainforest Expedition begins and ends in the hillside capital of Antananarivo. From Morondava on the west side of the country, travel the famed Avenue of the Baobabs, explore the endangered ecosystem of the Kirindy Reserve, visit the small town of Bekopaka, hike among the jagged limestone needles of Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park and relax on the beach at Nosy Kely.
On the east side of the country, look for the large indri lemur in Andasibe National Park and crocodiles at the Vakona private reserve, visit the small hut villages of Ankanin’ny Nofy and the port city of Tamatave, then enjoy white-sand beaches and island activities on Sainte Marie. The tour includes all accommodations, meals listed in the itinerary, excursions and activities listed in the itinerary, guide service, park and entrance fees, and airport, hotel and excursion transfers. Does not include international and internal flights.
